Independent and Principal Solicitors MAY submit either a surety bond or letter of credit (for the applicable amount)
with the completed application and applicable fees. This is no longer a requirement of registration, but an optional
provision at the discretion of the solicitor. To be accepted, voluntary submissions must be in the format approved by
the Commission. Examples of the surety bond and letter of credit formats are available for download for both Independent and Principal Solicitors.
